About clean cut land and lawn

The name is written small and the work is anything but: clean cut land and lawn takes the shaggy foothill lot — manzanita creeping in, grass gone to seed under the cedars — and brings it back to lines you can see from the road. Late spring is the busy hour in Alta Sierra, when the winter's rain has pushed everything up at once and the mowers hardly get to cool down. The crew cuts, edges, clears brush, and hauls green waste until a property reads exactly as its owner intended. Up here the forest is always making an offer for the yard. A clean cut, kept clean, is the answer.
