About Casa Verde Tree Service Inc.

Acton sits in a high pocket of the Sierra Pelona where Soledad Canyon opens out and the mornings stay cold well into spring. Casa Verde Tree Service Inc. works the oaks and pines on those horse properties — pruning for clearance over a barn roof, trimming the limbs that scrape a rig on the way down a long dirt drive. Wind comes through the canyon hard enough to rearrange a yard overnight, and the cleanup afterward belongs to them: broken wood cut, dragged out, gone. When a tree is finished, it comes out clean, leaving the pad open and the ground raked smooth. Late in the day the ridges go violet and the place looks the way people moved out here for.
