Williams sits in ponderosa country at the foot of Bill Williams Mountain, where summer shows up late, leaves early, and is worth every week of it. ASG Landscaping cuts lawns through that green stretch, mowing while the pine shade moves across the yard, trimming around trunk flares and stone borders, edging the concrete so the lawn ends where it is supposed to. Near seven thousand feet the turf grows in fits, slow in June, hard once the storms begin, then settling as the aspens on the mountain turn. Needles and duff get raked out and hauled instead of chopped into the grass, because a mountain yard chokes on its own litter fast. What is left is a soft green room with the forest standing right behind it.
