About Mike Rodriguez Gardening

The Hassayampa spends most of its length running underground, and Wickenburg has learned to keep a yard the same way — patiently, with faith in water you can't see. Mike Rodriguez Gardening mows the lawns of this desert town early, while the light is still low across the mesquite and the pavement hasn't started giving back yesterday's heat. Mowing, edging, string trimming and cleanup, done in a rhythm that leaves a yard looking tended rather than merely cut. Weeds come out before they get a chance to seed, and every border gets walked a second time, because the second pass is the one people notice from the sidewalk. Green out here is a deliberate act, and it deserves a deliberate hand.
