About Grass Monkey LLC

In most of the country October means letting the lawn go to sleep. Here it means the opposite: the Bermuda turns tawny, rye goes down over it, and by late November Tanque Verde shows these improbable green rectangles glowing between the creosote and the gravel. Grass Monkey LLC keeps them that way, cutting on a steady rhythm, edging sharp against the walk, trimming close around block walls and mesquite trunks, and clearing the clippings before leaving. Summer shifts the schedule but not the standard, with the mower out well before the heat climbs over the Rincons. A cut lawn in the desert is a small act of stubbornness, and it looks wonderful.
