Before the sun clears the Santa Ritas, the desert south of Tucson is cool enough to work in, and the light comes up over Summit the color of a peach. 2REES Landscaping takes that hour — mowing while dew is still on, edging the walks, trimming around block wall and gravel, every path blown clear. Bermuda runs hard through the hot months and wants a close, frequent cut to stay dense, so the schedule is tight from May into September. Weed control keeps the gravel margins clear, and feeding holds the color up when the heat is trying to take it. By mid-morning the yard is sharp at every border and quiet, and the day can do whatever it likes.
