October finally lifts the heat off the valley, and evenings in South Tucson turn soft and violet behind the Tucson Mountains. Sahuaripa Landscaping uses that long autumn for mowing, edging, cutting back the palo verde and carrying off the summer's growth before it settles in for good. After the rains everything has overreached — shrubs into the walkway, grass into the gravel, a whole season of ambition waiting to be brought back into shape. Returning a yard to its lines in that cool air is about as good as the work gets. South Tucson and the neighboring south-side communities are served.
