By late July the thunderheads stack up over the White Mountains south of town, and the whole juniper flat around Snowflake waits on them. CW Landscaping keeps to the rounds between storms — mowing, edging, running the trimmer along fence lines, pulling weeds before the rain makes them ambitious. After a downpour there is an hour when the air smells of wet juniper and the grass is impossibly green, and a lawn cut that morning looks like it was drawn with a straightedge.
