About Apache Landscaping

By four in the afternoon the shadow of Courthouse Butte lies all the way across the Village of Oak Creek, and the heat lets go of the day an inch at a time. That's a good hour to trim — the shade reaches the hedge line and the work gets done without squinting into glare. Apache Landscaping handles mowing, edging and shrub work for homes under those buttes, where every lawn is a small green argument with the desert and worth winning. There's a particular pride in the final pass of the trimmer: the ragged fringe gone, the border true, the clippings blown off the drive and the walkway left bare underfoot. The rock formations never change; the yards beneath them do, week by week, and that's the whole job.
