Monsoon season changes the job entirely. Some July afternoon the sky over the Gila valley goes copper, the dust wall walks north ahead of the rain, and by morning every lawn in San Tan Valley has decided to grow two weeks' worth overnight. Turf Dad meets that surge head-on — cutting more often while the grass is running, trimming the fence lines back, clearing the twigs and grit the storms leave scattered across turf and drive. Weeds come up with the same enthusiasm the grass does, so they get answered early rather than argued with later. There is something good about pulling away from a yard that took a beating on Tuesday and looks composed again by Thursday.
