Rio Verde sits between the McDowell Mountains and the river that gave it a name, with Four Peaks holding the eastern horizon and a dusting of snow up there on some winter mornings. Rocking AR Goats keeps yards along those roads on a rhythm: cutting at an even height, edging where turf meets decomposed granite, trimming shrubs back off walls and walkways. Spring runs long and green here and the mowing comes often; by midsummer the work leans toward cleanup and keeping the borders from creeping. Nothing is left stacked behind the gate — the cuttings go when the work does. A yard framed by that much open desert deserves a clean line drawn around it.
