Turfs Up Dude

About Turfs Up Dude

March along Gantzel Road is the short, generous season — palo verde going yellow at the edges of the subdivisions, the afternoon breeze finally worth standing in, and the Bermuda stirring awake underfoot. Turfs Up Dude works that turn of the year hard, waking lawns up with a first low cut, feeding them, trimming the winter scruff off the borders, getting ahead of the weeds before the heat makes everything urgent. Spring here is brief and everyone knows it, which is exactly why a well-kept yard in San Tan Valley feels earned rather than automatic. The mower lines go on straight, the edges get walked, the driveway gets blown clean, and the whole place looks a size larger for it. Then summer arrives and the routine simply tightens.
