About Oscar's landscaping services

Baseline Road once ran past miles of citrus, and south Phoenix still keeps rows of those old trees standing behind chain link and block wall. Oscar's landscaping services mows the lawns on those streets on Saturday mornings, when the whole neighborhood is outside and the sound of a mower is part of the weather. The edge gets cut along the sidewalk, the trimmer handles the fence line and the tree rings, and a blower takes the last of it off the drive. South Mountain sits over all of it, brown and enormous, the same view it has always been. A lawn kept up on a street like this says something without saying anything.
