The Turf Yard

About The Turf Yard

At half past four on a July morning Mesa is already warm, the streetlights still burning and the sky paling slowly over the eastern ranges. That predawn window is the friendliest time for a mower in a city where afternoons can pass 110 degrees. The Turf Yard looks after the turf, mowing, edging, trimming and keeping the grass in sound shape through the hardest stretch of the year. Bermuda grass loves this heat, growing fast and thick, and steady cutting keeps it from turning coarse and shaggy. By the time the sun clears the horizon the work shows: a level lawn, clean edges and the last sprinkler drops drying fast on the walk.
