Landscape Laveen

About Landscape Laveen

Late in the day the farm ground around Komatke goes the color of ripe wheat, and the irrigation laterals draw a thin silver line between the fields. Landscape Laveen works that last cool stretch of afternoon, mowing yards set down among cropland where the Gila bends west. The work is simple and satisfying: an even cut, borders trimmed back, clippings gathered up instead of left to scatter down the drive. A yard here answers the wide-open ground around it, a small square of order against a very big view. When the light goes long and red over the fields, the lawn is the tidiest thing on the property.
