About Westgate Garden Design

October is the reward season in the Santa Cruz Valley: the heat lets go, the salvias throw one more round of red, and the hummingbirds still come through on their way south. Westgate Garden Design plans for exactly those afternoons — laying out beds where agave and desert bloomers sit against the gravel with room to be themselves, and putting the color where a courtyard window can use it. Design turns into upkeep soon enough, so the visits bring planting, shrub trimming, mowing, and cleanup that keeps the whole composition readable. A garden here is drawn as much by shadow and stone as by leaf, and the shaping matters as much in November as in bloom. The pleasure is watching a bare desert lot become a place someone sits in with coffee. Work runs through Green Valley, Sahuarita and Tubac.
