About All About Trees

Above Gilbert's Heritage District the old water tower still stands watch, and by May the shade of a healthy tree beneath it is prized more than almost anything in town. All About Trees cares for the trees that make Gilbert yards livable, from feathery mesquite and green-barked palo verde to the broad shade trees that cool a patio by afternoon. Late spring is the season for thoughtful pruning, before the monsoon winds come barreling across the valley floor looking for heavy, crowded canopies. A well-shaped tree lets the wind pass through and throws a cleaner circle of shade on the ground below. Standing under one on a hundred-degree afternoon, you can feel what careful tree work is worth.
