About Proper Tree Care LLC

Fort Valley lies directly under the San Francisco Peaks, in a corridor of ponderosa so dense that the road toward the Snowbowl feels like a hallway. Proper Tree Care LLC works among those pines — pruning up the lower limbs, thinning crowns, and removing the trees leaning wrong over a cabin or a drive. Snow arrives here by the foot, and a bough left too long will eventually find the roof it was always aimed at, so much of the cold season is clearance work and clearing what a storm brought down. In late September the aspens out toward Hart Prairie turn all at once, and even a working day stops for a minute to look. The finish is simple: a house with room around it, and a forest that still looks like forest.
