Desert Rat Landscapers

About Desert Rat Landscapers

Late in the day the Tucson Mountains stand up dark against an orange sky, and the saguaros on the ridges above Gates Pass hold the last of the light long after Drexel Heights has gone into shadow. Desert Rat Landscapers is named for that country and works at the foot of it — mowing, edging and trimming yards where turf meets rock, thorn and open desert. Grass here is a small deliberate thing surrounded by a very large dry landscape, so the line between the two has to be cut with intention. Shrubs get trimmed back off the walkways, clippings are gathered, and the yard is handed over tidy. It is desert lawn care done by people who genuinely like the desert.
