High summer in Clifton is a two-water town, the river down below and whatever anyone keeps out back to make July survivable. Rivera Landscape & Pool works both, mowing, edging and trimming the yard, then tending the pool that makes the yard worth sitting in. Days begin before the rock walls have let go of last night's heat and end when shade finally reaches the deck.
