Ground level weed cntrol

About Ground level weed cntrol

Two good winter rains and every gravel yard in Casas Adobes comes up green the wrong way — filaree, bur clover, mustard, all of it rooted in an inch of granite. Ground level weed cntrol meets that February flush head-on with treatment and hand-clearing, working the stone back to clean stone and getting ahead of the next round before it germinates. Timing is the whole game here; a pre-emergent laid before the rain is worth a month of pulling afterward. There is a specific pleasure in a yard that is gravel, plants where plants belong, and not one volunteer in between. Clean ground is what makes the rest of a landscape look intentional.
