Monsoon afternoons pile the clouds over the Growler and Ajo ranges, and when a storm passes it leaves the yards scattered with everything it moved. Rubbage Control cleans that up: debris hauled off, palm and mesquite litter gathered, the lot raked back to level. Between the storms there is mowing and trimming for the grass that does grow here, and edges kept honest along the walks and drives. Desert towns show their upkeep plainly, because there is nothing much for a mess to hide behind. A swept, cleared yard under that big Sonoran sky looks like somebody's home.
