Arkansas Yard Patrol

About Arkansas Yard Patrol

Arkansas Yard Patrol makes its rounds where the roads around Wye curl up and over the mountain, past gravel drives and yards cut out of the pines. Every stop is its own small territory: a slope to mow across, a ditch line to trim, a fence row the grass keeps trying to claim. The patrol keeps the peace, cutting each lawn back into order and clearing clippings from the drive before moving on. On a bright afternoon those freshly mown yards stand out against the dark woods like clearings someone fully intends to keep. Out here around Wye Mountain, that kind of watchfulness is what turns a patch of ground into a home's front yard.
