Spring storms arrive at Tontitown out of the southwest, and after every one the hills come up a shade greener overnight. Paradise Lawn Company works that surge — first cuts of the year, edges recut along the walk and drive, trimming where growth crowds the fence, clippings cleared off the walk. The schedule then holds weekly straight through summer, the only way to stay level with grass that has found its legs. Autumn brings leaves, and the year closes with the lawns cleared and lying flat. It's a plain sort of beauty, a mowed yard on a green hillside, and it gets done again on Thursday.
