About Sislo Enterprises Home & Lawn

By late October the oaks and hickories around Siloam Springs turn the color of old copper, and every gusty afternoon brings another load of them down into the yards. Sislo Enterprises Home & Lawn takes on that autumn work with patience: leaves gathered up and cleared away, the season's final mowings, edges and borders trimmed back before the first hard frost. South of town the Illinois River runs low and clear under a pale sky, and the whole countryside seems to slow down. There is a particular pleasure in a lawn swept free of leaves in November, the grass showing through again, green against a gray afternoon. It is how a home here gets ready to rest for the winter.
