Lawn ReLeaf

About Lawn ReLeaf

There is one week every autumn when the oaks around War Memorial Park give up all at once and the yards beneath them disappear. Lawn ReLeaf is built for exactly that week — leaves off the turf, out of the beds, off the walks, hauled away so the grass can breathe its way into winter. The rest of the year it is the steady work: mowing, edging, trimming, clippings cleared, a yard held in line from the first warm spell in March to the final cut of the fall. Around Big Rock the growing season is long enough that the mower and the blower both earn their keep. The finish is the point — bare, tidy turf and a driveway you can see the color of again.
