About quattlebaum lawn

Southeast of Searcy the land flattens into row crop and rice ground, and the sky gets wide enough that one cloud can shade a whole field. quattlebaum lawn runs that open side of the county, where lawns take the full weight of the sun and the wind crosses them with nothing to slow it down. Grass out there wants a steady hand: cut on time at a sensible height, trimmed close around posts and the propane tank, drives blown clear so the gravel stays gravel. Late summer, with combine dust on the horizon, is when a kept yard stands out most against all that gold. It is plain work, and it shows plainly.
