About Maltman & Sons Mowing Co.

In spring the bluffs above the river hold their shade until midmorning, and Rush Island wakes in two halves — one still cool, one already bright. Maltman & Sons Mowing Co. works both, mowing yards from the bottoms up to the ridge road, trimming close around stone and post, edging where the drive meets the grass, and blowing every walk clean at the end. The Ozarks push rock up into the topsoil, so a mower learns a yard by feel and remembers where not to drop the deck. Grass here comes on hard in April and asks for weekly attention straight through the summer. A yard cut even, with the corners honest, looks right against these hills.
