Oden Lawns

About Oden Lawns

Oden is tucked into the Ouachita Mountains, a range that runs east to west, so the morning sun comes straight down the valleys and lights the yards one by one. Oden Lawns mows in this mountain community, where dogwoods and redbuds trim the forest edge each March and the grass greens up beneath them. Yards here are carved out of the woods, and keeping them open takes regular mowing, trimming where the wild edge creeps in, and picking up whatever the forest drops. The finish is a bright, level opening against the blue-green ridges of the national forest beyond. In Oden, a mowed yard becomes a welcome piece of order inside a big, untamed landscape.
