NICHOLS CARE

About NICHOLS CARE

July evenings in Nichols belong to the fireflies, rising out of the grass in slow green-gold blinks as the heat finally lets go of the day. NICHOLS CARE looks after the lawns they rise from, with mowing and trimming that give those summer nights a proper stage. The work happens in the hard light earlier on — a level pass, edges drawn beside the path and the beds, the porch boards swept — so that by dusk nothing is left to do but sit and watch. A well-tended yard in midsummer is a gift to the whole street. Nichols after dark, glowing over newly cut grass, is Arkansas summer at its gentlest.
