About Majors Forest & Lawn, Inc.

Beyond the edge of Monticello the pines take over — this is southeast Arkansas timber country, and the town's university even keeps a school of forestry. Majors Forest & Lawn, Inc. mows and tidies yards in the company of all those tall loblollies, where a breeze carries the smell of resin and needles drift onto the grass in rust-colored mats. The cool months are when that matters most: clearing what the pines have shed, cutting back stray growth, and giving a yard its outline before spring arrives in earnest. A lawn looks right framed by straight dark trunks — cut low, open, and swept clear. Against the deep green of pine country, that tidiness reads like a clearing someone loves.
