About Hicks Lawncare Services

In the Delta country of Lucas the land lies so flat that you can watch an August thunderstorm march across the fields for half an hour before it reaches your porch. Between storms the heat sits heavy over the soybeans and cotton, and grass in the yards grows thick and fast in the dark soil. Hicks Lawncare Services keeps pace with it, mowing the yards, tidying their margins and clearing clippings so each lawn stays a neat green island in a sea of crops. A lawn standing crisp beneath that enormous horizon is something to be proud of. As the sky goes dark and cool, the smell of new-mown grass rises to meet the coming rain.
