Urban Lawn and Land

About Urban Lawn and Land

Take any road out of Huntsville and the farm country starts almost at once: long poultry houses glinting in the sun, cattle bunched in the shade of a lone oak, Highway 412 unspooling over the hills toward Springdale. Urban Lawn and Land mows the lawns in Huntsville itself, where town grass runs right up against that working landscape. By August the heat sits heavy by midmorning and the grass leans toward seed, so a well-timed mowing keeps a yard dense and green instead of brown and stemmy. The work shows most clearly in a lot mown smooth all the way out to its boundary, crisp against the rough ground beyond. Standing there with a red-tailed hawk circling over the pastures past town, the contrast is exactly the point.
