About Matias Lawn Services

In Hot Springs, autumn shows up first in the creek bottoms below Gulpha Gorge, where the water oaks let go a few leaves at a time and the mornings smell of wet stone. That is the season Matias Lawn Services likes best: mowing lines still crisp on a lawn that has finally stopped racing, mulch going down dark and even around the beds, tree work opening a little more sky above the roof. The cutting is held to a strict week-to-week rhythm, at a height that carries a yard through Arkansas heat, with the edges trimmed clean where turf meets drive. By the time the truck pulls away, the yard reads as one finished thing instead of a list of chores. It is ordinary work done with care, in a town built around water that keeps its own schedule.
