LaCava's Lawn Care

About LaCava's Lawn Care

January here is not much of a winter — the bermuda goes tan and sleeps, the oaks along Whittington Park rattle a few brown leaves, and some weeks are warm enough to work in shirtsleeves. LaCava's Lawn Care uses that season for the work nobody watches: clearing yards down to bare turf, cutting back borders that went soft in the fall, hauling off the debris the wind collected against the fences. A dormant lawn tells the truth about itself — every ragged edge, every pile left in a corner. Set right in winter, a yard greens up in March looking like somebody was paying attention the whole time. Then the mowing starts again and the town turns loud with it.
