About A&K Wild Family Roots LLC

Spring reaches Gulpha Gorge before it reaches the rest of town — redbud first, then dogwood, then the sudden green that means the mowing season has opened. A&K Wild Family Roots LLC works that turn of the year in Hot Springs, cutting, trimming and edging lawns and clearing the winter's litter of oak leaf and pine straw. The soil here is thin over rock and the grass comes back unevenly, so the first passes of April are as much about reading a yard as mowing it. The third visit is where the satisfaction lives: the ragged patches have knit and the whole lawn takes a blade at one height. Under the hickories along the creek, that even green is the plainest good news of the season.
