Dawes Lawn Care

About Dawes Lawn Care

Fog sits low in the hollows outside Hill on cool mornings and burns off about the time the first yard of the day is finished. Dawes Lawn Care starts in that gray hour, when the air is still and a mower can be heard three streets over, and works toward the warmth. Grass cut level, trimmer taken around the posts and the porch skirt, drive blown clean, and on to the next address. It is repetitive in the way good work often is, and the reward arrives all at once at the end of a street where every lawn shares the same clean height. Fall brings the leaves and a different order to the same route through Hill and the roads beyond it.
