Greg's Lawn Services

About Greg's Lawn Services

Around Gum Pond the evening belongs to cicadas and frogs, and the day's heat lets go slowly over the bottomland timber. Greg's Lawn Services runs the gravel lanes out here, mowing the yards that sit in pockets of cleared ground with the woods pressing close on three sides. Grass grows hard in this damp air, so the cut stays regular and the trimmer does honest work along tree lines, culverts and mailbox posts. Come fall the hardwoods drop everything at once and the raking begins in earnest, piles hauled off before the first cold rain mats them down. There is quiet pride in a small country yard mowed clean to its edges, sitting bright against all that timber.
