Hayzie Days Lawncare and More

About Hayzie Days Lawncare and More

By July the air goes soft and white at the edges, the cicadas start up in the oaks, and the mowing weeks arrive one on top of another. Hayzie Days Lawncare and More runs through the thick of it around Galla, cutting, trimming, edging, hauling off clippings, and picking up the odd jobs a yard collects between visits. Storms come up the Arkansas River in the afternoon and leave the ground steaming, and by morning everything has grown again. When the year cools the work shifts to leaf removal and a hard cleanup before winter. There is something plain and good about the last pass of the day, when the stripes line up and the trimmer goes quiet.
