On a July afternoon you can watch a thunderhead stack up in the southwest and know exactly how much daylight the yard has left. Greenhead Lawn & Landscaping LLC works ahead of that sky, mowing at a pace that gets the lines straight and the job finished before the first fat drops land. Trimming tightens the work around trees, posts and the propane tank; the walk is given a defined border; the blower clears the drive. Two days after the rain the ground is soft and the Bermuda is another inch tall, and the route comes back around. Yards grow hard in summer, and steady lawn care is what keeps them from getting ahead of anyone.
