Spring Green

About Spring Green

April comes up the west side of Mount Sequoyah in a hurry — redbud one week, dogwood the next, and every yard in Fayetteville deciding all at once that it is done sleeping. Spring Green works that rush the way it deserves: mowing on a steady rotation, edges cut clean against the driveway, string trimming around the fence posts and the mailbox where a mower will never reach. Clippings get blown off the walks before the truck pulls away, because a lawn isn't finished until the concrete is. Through the long humid stretch of summer the route holds — same day, same height, the grass never let to get ahead of itself. Then the oak and hickory leaves come down over the hill neighborhoods, get cleared, and the yard goes into winter tidy.
