About .

Dyer lies in the Arkansas River Valley with the Boston Mountains standing up blue to the north, and fog holds in the bottoms most spring mornings until the sun gets over the ridge. This lawn care business works the town and the roads out toward Alma and Mulberry: mowing on a weekly turn, trimming around posts and foundations, walks and drives edged, and hard surfaces cleared before the truck leaves. Valley ground grows fast in May — a week of rain and warm nights and the yards double on you. Keeping the schedule is most of the job; it's what stands between a lawn and a hayfield. The year closes out with leaf cleanup and a last cut ahead of the first hard freeze.
