About Off Duty Lawn Services

Summer light lasts a long while over Bauxite, and the best hours come after the heat breaks — long shadows through the pines, the air finally moving again. Off Duty Lawn Services makes good use of them, mowing, trimming the fence lines and around the mailbox, edging where grass creeps over the drive, and blowing the pavement down before packing up. Saline County grass grows fast enough in June that a week is exactly the right interval and eight days is not. The reward is small and specific: a straight edge along the walk, an even cut across the whole lot, nothing left where it should not be. Nobody has to point that out for it to be worth doing.
