About Ashcraft Lawn Services LLC

Heat lets go of Wetumpka late. By the time the light goes gold over Gold Star Park and the river turns the color of a nickel, the day is finally workable — and that is often when Ashcraft Lawn Services LLC is still going, mowing, trimming, blowing clippings off a walk. Elmore County grass grows like it is being paid to from April clear through October, so the rhythm is weekly and unglamorous, and the result is a yard that never gets away from its owner. Fall turns the route into cleanup work: leaves, sticks, the litter of a windy season, and beds cleared back down to tidy ground. There is a particular satisfaction in closing a gate on a lawn that looks finished.
