Shawn's Lawn Service

About Shawn's Lawn Service

Saturday morning out toward Hurricane Creek smells like cut grass and warm red clay, and the mower is the loudest thing for a block. Shawn's Lawn Service handles the weekly rounds — mowing, string trimming, edging, and clearing the leaves and limbs a storm drops overnight. Summer here does not ease up, so the grass gets cut on schedule whether or not anybody feels like standing in it. The reward is small and specific: a yard finished by lunch, clippings blown off the concrete, the sidewalk showing its own edge again. Then on to the next one.
