About A & L Lawncare

The first real cut of the year in Tuscaloosa arrives after a night of rain, when the red clay goes dark and the bermuda finally decides it is awake. A & L Lawncare is out on those mornings, mowing while the ground is still cool, running the trimmer along fence posts and mailbox stones, then clearing every clipping off the walk before the light gets tall. There is a satisfaction in the moment a yard stops looking overgrown and starts looking kept — the lines straight, the border clean, the driveway swept. From April to October they hold that rhythm across town, week after week, and fold in cleanups as the year turns. It is ordinary work done carefully, and the whole street can tell.
