Tom’s Gulf Coast Grasshopper

About Tom’s Gulf Coast Grasshopper

On a wide Theodore lot at the end of August, the grasshoppers come up in front of the deck in a rolling wave, and the field ahead is chest-deep in whatever the summer decided to grow. Tom's Gulf Coast Grasshopper takes on that kind of ground — mowing big open acreage down to something even, trimming fence lines and ditch banks, edging wherever there is concrete to edge against, and coming back on a schedule so it never gets ahead again. Large lawns down here are a matter of pace and a wide deck rather than heroics. Cut low and clean, an acre reads like a park by evening. The last pass is always the best one to look back on.
