Lawns & Leaves

About Lawns & Leaves

When the wind swings northwest in November, the sweetgum and hickory let go all at once and the curbs of Tallassee fill overnight. Lawns & Leaves is named for both halves of the job: the mowing that carries a yard from March to frost, and the leaf work that closes the year out. Fall cleanup means blowing, raking, bagging and hauling until the turf can breathe under a hard rain. Then come the winter weeks when a lawn only needs looking at, and the spring morning when it suddenly needs everything at once. The pleasure is in handing back a yard that is completely, visibly finished.
