Grass gone wild

About Grass gone wild

Three days of rain, then sun, and by Thursday the yard has gotten ideas. That is the Gulf Coast growing season for you — it does not creep, it bolts, and a lawn left alone through June will be up past the bottom rail of the fence by month's end. Grass gone wild exists for exactly that moment: mowing, edging, string trimming, overgrown-yard knockdowns, hedge and shrub trimming, and hauling off everything that comes out. The best part of the job is the before-and-after, when a place that had gone jungly gets its shape back in an afternoon and the front walk reappears. Summerdale and the towns around it, one wild yard at a time.
