Cunningham Tree Service

About Cunningham Tree Service

The railroad still runs straight through Sulligent, and west of it the Lamar County land rolls away in pasture and pine toward the Buttahatchee and the state line. Cunningham Tree Service works this quiet stretch — a dead oak taken down away from the barn, limbs trimmed off a roofline before winter, pruning that opens a crown and takes the sail out of it. January here is gray and unhurried, the right time to see the structure of a tree and cut only what should go. When a storm rolls through and drops a top across a farm drive, the job is to get it moved and the brush cleared while the light lasts. Stacked wood and open ground make a good end to a short day.
